Group Class Dog Training
About Our Group Class Programs
At Greenside Canine, our range of group dog training classes is an effective and affordable way to train your dog.
We offer basic obedience, puppy classes and Search and Rescue (SAR) training as part of our group class curriculum, all delivered at our training facility in northern Indianpolis.
Your dog will have the opportunity to learn a variety of important skills, and as an owner, you will learn the important learning theory behind how dogs learn these behaviors. These classes are a great way to socialize your dog in a controlled setting, supervised by a professional dog trainer – meaning that all experiences at our group classes are positive for your pup.

Basic Obedience: $250
Our basic obedience classes last for six lessons, and will provide your dog with the basic obedience commands, including:
- Sit
- Down
- Stay
- Place
- Come
- Heel
This class is a great opportunity for effective socialization with other dogs and people. As an owner, you’ll also discover canine learning theory and understand how to utilize a clicker for marker training.

Puppy Class: $150
Greenside Canine’s puppy group class is available to puppies aged six months or younger. During this class, your puppy will learn the following:
- Sit
- Down
- Stay
- Place
- Come
- Heel
The class is a great opportunity to get your puppy’s training off to a great start! The class will be full of puppies at a similar age, presenting excellent socialization opportunities.

Search and Rescue (SAR) Class: $200
Our Search and Rescue (SAR) group classes are a great way for you to get involved in the exciting world of search and rescue! Each program runs for six weeks. As your dog becomes more skilled at search and rescue, they will have the opportunity to progress to the next class level.
- Level 1: In this introductory program of six lessons, you will learn the basics of odor theory and how dogs are able to find humans. You’ll learn basic handling skills and build your dog up from hot trails to warm trails.
- Level 2: In our second level of SAR programs, your dog will progress from warm trails to cold trails, steadily building duration and distance.
- Level 3: Our final level will see your dog exposed to a variety of different environments, allowing them to generalize their skills and become comfortable in a variety of different settings.
