Sydni Thomas

Sydni started to learn about caring for animals at the age of nine, when she showed llamas in 4-H. When she turned 17, she started to work primarily with dogs, spending time as a shift lead in a dog daycare. Sydni has cared for dogs in the Indianapolis area, spanning all types of breeds of dogs. In recent years, she has also studied grooming and dog training – meaning that Sydni has a broad range of knowledge to help the dogs we work with at Greenside Canine.

Sydni adopted her first personal dog, Ginger, back in 2019. Ginger had significant behavioral issues and sparked Sydni’s interest in helping others to understand their own animals. Through working with Ginger, Sydni understood just how much dogs communicate through body language. Every dog communicates slightly differently, and Sydni loves helping each dog to gain confidence in themselves. She also believes it important to help each owner to have the confidence to read their dog.

Sydni says, “I found it extremely empowering once I had the knowledge to properly communicate with my dog. Helping others understand and communicate with theirs is so rewarding – no matter if it is a 4 week old Lab puppy, or a 6 year old Pit mix.”h
